Some wimmin smash porno shops and have to run from nasty cops
Us, we just play top-ten pop
It’s our political and creative contribution to the revolution

Some wimmin liberate gooses and fight against animal abuses
Us, we just make music
It’s our political and creative contribution to the revolution

Some wimmin super glue army doors and rip off stuff from P.I. stores
Us, we’d rather go on tour
It’s our political and creative contribution to the revolution.

Some wimmin climb fences and talk about the spiritual significance of their menses
We keep up our professional pretenses
It’s our political and creative contribution to the revolution.

Some wimmin are in prison for beating up two pricks,
they hit them on the head with a huge stick
But jails don’t have good acoustics
And we have to keep in mind our political and creative contribution to the revolution.

Some wimmin hop on convoys and sing “Take the toys away from the boys”
That’s just hysterical yelling and noise
not a political and creative contribution to the revolution.

Some wimmin fight patriarchal poisons and scream about freedom of choices
But we mustn’t hurt our voices
Because they are the key to our political and creative contribution to the revolution.

Some wimmin do the dishes or circle in the woods with the witches
But us, we’re snobby bitches
It’s our political and creative contribution to the revolution.

Alix changed, we shouldn’t have let her
She says she’s never been better, If you ask me she’s just gone het-er
It’s a pseudo political kind of creative contribution to someone else’s revolution.

Imagine my surprise to find that Holly Near’s gone bi
But us, we’re dykes ‘til the day we die!
It’s our political and creative contribution to the revolution.

It’s lesbian lives we sing about, it’s not for the money, the fame or the clout
We’ll never be diluted and we’ll never sell out
It’s our political and creative contribution to the revolution.

  2. Merry Christmas.

I remember you from my time at peace camp. I was a scrawny 16 year old kid at the time I was there (about 5'2", I can't remember if I had my blue mohawk at the time or if it was grown out). I stayed until November 1983 and I hitched a ride with the "California Contingent" of women who brought me out to Los Angeles. I did a lot of actions while I was there. I helped make the barn wheelchair accessible. I went to the church down the way (mainly to wash up) and heard the priest talking about "agi-'taters" - using potatoes as examples - I think you were there. I would like to get in touch with you if you remember me.
