Wearing our long tail feathers as we fly,
Wearing our long tail feathers as we fly,
We circle around, we circle around,
The boundaries of the earth.
The boundless universe.
Wearing my long wing feathers as I fly,
Wearing my long wing feathers as I fly,
I circle around, I circle around,
The boundaries of the earth.
The boundaries of the sky.
Alternate lyrics:Wearing my long wing feathers as I fly,
Wearing my long wing feathers as I fly,
I circle around, I circle around,
The boundaries of the earth.
The boundaries of the sky.

I circle around, I circle around,
The boundaries of the earth.
The boundaries of the sky.

Woman am I.
Spirit am I.
I am the infinite within myself.
I can find no beginning, I can find no end.
All this I am.
Spirit am I.
I am the infinite within myself.
I can find no beginning, I can find no end.
All this I am.

Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the shining star to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the shining star to you.

A plea for one world is heard in, is heard in many different lands.
This is a plea from a world that is hungry for peace.
Let us all come together.
Let us all live well together.
Striving to make the world better.
Pledging our lives to peace.
This is a plea from a world that is hungry for peace.
Let us all come together.
Let us all live well together.
Striving to make the world better.
Pledging our lives to peace.

When you’re alone and life is making you lonely,
you can always go to the Peace Camp.
When you’ve got worries, all the noise and the hurry
seem to stop, I know, at the Peace Camp.
Linger at the main gate where the yellow line is pretty.
At the general meeting we get down to nitty-gritty,
how can you lose?
Chorus:
Flashlights are much brighter there.
You can center on troubles, obsess on your cares.
At the Peace Camp! Where women’s eyes are bright.
Peace Camp! Waiting for you tonight.
Peace Camp! It’s going to be all right, now.
Don’t hang around and let your troubles surround you,
there are movie shows at the Peace Camp.
Maybe you know some little places to go
where you can climb the fence at the Depot.
Listen to the rhythm of the Buddhist women drumming,
You’ll be dancing with it, too, before long you’ll be humming,
centered again.
Listen to Petula Clark's original recording here.
