HeRSToRy 106 Rachel Flanigan aka Rachel Bear

     Rachel grew up in Geneva, NY and spent much of her childhood at the peace camp. She is the daughter of one of the Peace Camp's most dedicated organizers, Pam Flanigan.

    ooooooohhhhhhhhhhh. I am so grateful....

    I love how Rachel says,
    "I always wanted to fully participate in everything."

    and ...

    "there was always something being done!"

    I LOVE that her daughter's name is Iris !!!!! (Yay).
    [NOTE: her amazing, wonderful mom ran away to NYC in the 1970's (I believe) and joined the amazing lesbian RedStockings (I think). The fact that Rachel was the FIRST child awarded in a custody fight is so significant!!! (I forgot that) (all these need factcheck).

    Because of the breaks in communication, I have had no contact with Rachel for all these years, even though she gratefully attended my wedding in 1996 (and her gift, which I STILL have in my kitchen right now! are a whole lot of paper cranes.....from her story!).

    SO THIS IS A HUGE, HUGE GIFT!!!

    You guys remain to be the BEST!!!!
