As a longtime antinuclear and antiwar activist, Andy took on extra duties at the Syracuse Peace Council when his partner, Karen Beetle (PeHP 003), accepted a position as one of the few staff members at the Women's Peace Encampment in the late spring of 1983. Andy then helped educate other men about anti-oppression politics and organized food and childcare support for peace camp actions.
